Divine Disaster

The heavy rains that pounded the Konkan region of Maharashtra on July 21 and the resulting floods have taken many lives and caused massive damage to the region. The death toll from the landslides, flash floods and other rain-related incidents has climbed to 200+ and thousands of people have been displaced from their homes. The torrential rain and landslides affected 1028 villages across the districts of Ratnagiri, Raigad, Kolhapur, Thane, Sangli, Satara, Sindhudurg, Pune, Wardha and the suburban areas of Mumbai. The Konkan region, home to a great culture with a rich legacy of bravery and indomitable spirit needs our help to rebuild. Let us join our hands to help people in distress and Red Brigade volunteers are on the ground to provide relief to the grief-stricken people.
